CARAT contributing to advance automatic therapeutic cell production

Horizon - The EU Research & Innovation Magazine has published an article on the advances of cell production factories in bringing life-saving cell therapies to an ever larger number of patients. The CARAT project is featured in this article as the project is contributing to improve Miltenyi’s CliniMACS Prodigy – a machine built for automatic therapeutic cell production. This device will facilitate producing large amounts of cells for individual patients right in the clinics where treatment is needed.

The CARAT project furthermore investigates in economical alternatives for releasing genes into human cells and in testing more potent recipes for enhancing the capabilities of genetically engineered cells.

In summary, CARAT is contributing in several ways to set a framework that will make cellular therapies faster, safer, less expensive and more efficient.
